Today's Word
1 Peter 5:10
“And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore you, secure you, strengthen you, and establish you.”
Reflection
You pause at the phrase "for a little while." To someone in the middle of suffering, the word "little" does not land easily, because from inside it, the end is nowhere in sight. Yet this line does not shrink the pain — it points to something longer waiting beyond it.
The One who restores is not you, but "the God of all grace." You do not pull yourself back together; He builds you up again. It is not a demand to patch your own broken places, but a promise that they will be patched.
Bring to mind one place that feels collapsed right now. Rather than straining to lift it at once, trust that the work of restoration is already in motion. Suffering is not the final chapter.
