Today's Word

2 Thessalonians 3:16

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
2 Thessalonians 3:16 (Berean Standard Bible)

Reflection

What stays with you is the word "Himself." Not peace sent through a messenger, but peace handed over directly. There is a difference between wishing someone well from afar and sitting beside them with a hand on their shoulder. This peace is the second kind.

"At all times and in every way" is no small phrase either. It is not a peace reserved for crises, but one that settles into the ordinary grain of a day. Not the relief that arrives once everything is sorted out, but a stillness available right in the middle of the unsorted.

Bring to mind one place where your heart feels unsettled today. Lay the words "may the Lord be with you" gently over it. Peace does not come because the situation changes; it flows from the One who stays close.
