Today's Word

Deuteronomy 11:19

Teach them to your children, speaking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Deuteronomy 11:19 (Berean Standard Bible)

Reflection

This verse refuses to confine teaching to special hours. Sitting at home, walking the road, lying down, rising up. It treats every grain of the day as a place for teaching. Not only a set devotional time, but the whole scattered everyday becomes a channel for passing things on.

To speak these words to your children implies that the one teaching must first be living them. What is handed on is not memorized knowledge but something soaked into daily life, flowing out naturally.

Think of one ordinary conversation you will share with someone close today. Notice whether even a line of what you believe is woven into it. More than grand lessons, the small daily tone and choices are what linger longest.
