Exodus 2:2 (Berean Standard Bible)

Reflection

A mother hides her newborn son for three months. In an era when his death had been decreed, love alone steadied her hand against fear. The text says she saw that he was beautiful — not some heroic calculation, but love for the small life in her arms that made every risk worth bearing.

Hiding him was a daily thing. Not one act of courage, but three months of repeated care: nights spent listening for danger, days held in silence. Love often takes this shape — not a grand decision, but tending that quietly repeats until it wears you down.

If there is something you long to protect, it is alright that the task isn't finished in a single stroke. Hold it only as much as today allows. The small care that continues out of sight is already seen by God.
