Today's Word
Isaiah 49:15
““Can a woman forget her nursing child, or lack compassion for the son of her womb? Even if she could forget, I will not forget you!”
Reflection
A nursing mother cannot forget her child even if she tries. Her body remembers before her mind does. Isaiah reaches for the least breakable love we know, only to say that God's heart is even harder to break.
When we feel abandoned, the first ache is the sense of being forgotten. Few things isolate us more than believing no one holds us in mind. This verse steps into that loneliness and says you are not forgotten but unforgettable.
If today left you feeling unseen by everyone, sit for a moment with one sentence: the One who made me cannot forget me. Feelings may insist otherwise, but His memory of you does not lapse.
