Today's Word
Matthew 28:20
“and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.””
Reflection
Jesus spoke these words just before leaving His disciples. The One about to vanish from sight promised to stay. This single sentence separates being out of view from being gone.
The promise to the end of the age has no empty days in it. There is no clause limiting His presence to the days that go well. On collapsing days and on ordinary days where nothing happens, the promise holds the same.
Look back on a moment today when you felt alone. This promise does not deny that feeling. It only tells you He never stepped away, even when you could not sense Him. An unseen companion stays longer than a seen one.
