Proverbs 20:7

The righteous man walks with integrity; blessed are his children after him.
Proverbs 20:7 (Berean Standard Bible)

Reflection

We tend to picture inheritance as property or position. This verse points somewhere quieter: the blessing that reaches the next generation flows through a parent who simply walks with integrity. Not dazzling achievement, but the unbroken grain of an ordinary life.

Integrity is not the same as flawlessness. It grows where you say the same thing when no one is watching, where you keep a promise even at a cost. Children learn a parent's back before they learn a parent's words; the way we walk says what our lessons cannot.

Think today of the place where a child, or someone close, is watching. One small act of honesty outlasts a grand decision. Before asking what I will leave behind, I ask how I will walk.
