Today's Word
Psalm 94:19
“When anxiety overwhelms me, Your consolation delights my soul.”
Reflection
"When anxiety overwhelms me" is an honest phrase. It points not to a single worry but to the moment they multiply — one thought summoning the next until the inside grows crowded. The psalmist did not hide that state in shame but wrote it down as it was.
What enters that crowdedness is God's consolation. It does not arrive by explaining away each worry one by one. As the verse says, it delights the soul — closer to making room to breathe in a pressed-down heart than to clearing the list.
If your mind is packed with many thoughts today, pause before trying to sort them all out. Receiving the consolation that comes into the middle of it may matter more than shortening the list of worries.
