Today's Word
Exodus 15:26
“saying, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His eyes, and pay attention to His commands, and keep all His statutes, then I will not bring on you any of the diseases I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.””
Reflection
"I am the LORD who heals you." God introduces Himself as healer. Among His many names, healing is declared as one of them. To heal is not something He occasionally does but something belonging to His nature.
This declaration was given in the wilderness. In a place where even the water was bitter, the driest of places, He reveals Himself as healer. The promise of restoration is heard not in abundance but in the middle of lack.
If you stand in a parched place, in body or in heart, that very place may be where you meet the healer. One of His names reaches today's thirst.
