Today's Word
Jeremiah 30:17
“But I will restore your health and heal your wounds, declares the LORD, because they call you an outcast, Zion, for whom no one cares.””
Reflection
The promise to heal carries the phrase "restore your health" — a restoration that grows new from within, not one that merely covers over. He doesn't pretend the scar away; He brings that very place back to life.
Recovery takes time. New flesh doesn't grow overnight. The process that feels so slow may itself be the mark of the healing hand at work.
If there is a wound that hasn't closed, don't read its slowness as failure. The One who heals doesn't stop at filling the surface; He makes the inside new.
