Today's Word
Isaiah 53:5
“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”
Reflection
"By His stripes we are healed." The center of this verse is that the source of healing is not my merit but the suffering He bore in my place. Recovery doesn't flow from what I produce but from a price already paid.
That He bore the suffering in our place is no distant doctrine. It is the comfort that the One who heals me is not unacquainted with my pain, but was Himself pierced and crushed.
When healing is slow, remember the root of that promise. Recovery doesn't depend on my condition; it is anchored in the place He has already paid.
