Today's Word
Galatians 6:9
“Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Reflection
"Let us not grow weary in well-doing." It assumes that weariness comes even in doing good. There are times you do the right thing yet, seeing no fruit, your heart sinks.
The promise is "in due time we will reap." The harvest has its time. That it isn't visible now doesn't mean it isn't there; its time has simply not yet come. Not giving up is the attached condition.
On a day your labor seems wasted and you want to let go, this verse asks you to wait a little longer. The time of harvest is not yours to set. Today's step of not losing heart moves toward that time.
