Today's Word
Hebrews 10:24-25
“And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Reflection
We are told to "consider" one another, to spur each other on to love and good deeds. To consider is to look out for the one beside you. Community is more than sitting side by side; it is the place of turning toward one another.
The call not to neglect meeting together follows. It warns that gathering can grow as light as a fading habit. Meeting is not a duty but a channel for raising one another up.
If you've drifted from gathering because solitude is easier, recall the weight of a place where encouragement passes back and forth. One person to look out for, one to look out for you — these hold faith up.
