“Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”
Reflection
If you lack wisdom, ask, He says. Lack is not a shame but the starting point of asking. You may set down the pressure to know it all and ask while not knowing.
The manner of giving is "generously, without finding fault." He doesn't reproach you for asking again. Since He is not stingy in giving, there's no reason to hesitate.
On a day you're at a loss before a decision, rather than straining to squeeze out wisdom, ask first. To ask of the One who gives generously without reproach is the first step of wisdom.
