Reflection

The prayer of faith raises the sick, it says. Not that prayer is an incantation, but that it is a channel of entrusting to the One who raises. The one who raises is not the prayer but the Lord.

Into the place of suffering alone, "prayer" is set. Sickness isolates, but the place of praying together breaks that isolation. The prayer beside you becomes part of the healing.

There are days when you have no strength even to pray. On such days, you can be carried by another's prayer. The One who raises works not by your strength but by His faithfulness.
