Reflection

Likening the word to a lamp and a light is the image of someone walking a road. A lamp lights the single step underfoot; a light reveals the direction to go. It is a light that shows the next step rather than blazing far ahead.

There are times the whole road can't be seen at once, and it's frustrating. But a lamp, by nature, lights one step at a time. Even without the full map in hand, the next place to set your foot is visible.

On the day the road ahead feels dark, rather than demanding every answer at once, step onto the one stretch lit for today. The light reveals the next as you walk.
