Today's Word
Psalm 91:1-2
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.””
Reflection
"The shelter" and "the shadow" point to a place to hide — the place you enter to escape heat and threat. The refuge is not a distant fortress but the secret place beside the Most High.
David calls it "my refuge and my fortress." The possessive repeats. Not vague protection, but trust made his own. The confession that names it so becomes the door into that place.
On a day you feel exposed to anxiety, don't search far for a place to hide. The nearest shadow is already beside you. To step under that shadow is today's refuge.
