Today's Word
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.”
Reflection
This promise was given to a people carried off into exile. From the most hopeless of places comes the word, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you." It doesn't describe a good situation but reveals a thought at work in unseen places.
That there are plans toward you is the comfort. Your future is not left to chance or neglect but held within someone's heart. And the direction of that thought is a future and a hope.
That today is dark doesn't change those plans. Don't read today's darkness as the ending. In a place unseen, a thought toward a future and a hope is already at work.
