“You will keep in perfect peace the steadfast of mind, because he trusts in You.”
Reflection
He keeps the one "steadfast of mind" in perfect peace. The condition for peace is not the stability of circumstance but the direction of the mind. Peace settles on a mind held firm toward one place, even amid shaking situations.
The root of that steadfastness is "because he trusts in You." You are unshaken not because you are solid but because the One you trust is solid. Peace flows from the firmness of your resting place.
On a day the mind scatters in every direction, rather than straining to feel calmer, gather your gaze to one place. Peace grows where trust is gathered.
