Today's Word

Isaiah 40:29-30

He gives power to the faint and increases the strength of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall.
Isaiah 40:29-30 (Berean Standard Bible)

Reflection

He gives power to the faint and strength to the weak. He doesn't make the strong stronger but pours out on the worn. The direction of supply faces the weak side.

The next line says even youths grow tired and fall. Natural strength runs out in the end. But the strength of those who wait on the LORD passes that limit, because its source is different.

The place where you feel you have no strength left to summon is the very place new strength is received. Where you've hit bottom, power that comes down from above begins.
