Today's Word

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 (Berean Standard Bible)

Reflection

The eagle doesn't climb by beating its wings harder. It rises by giving itself to the updraft. That is the texture of renewed strength — not power squeezed out by more effort, but the lift of riding the current that carries you up.

That strength is given to "those who wait upon the LORD." To wait is a word that holds patience within it. Instead of running at your own pace until spent, it is the posture of looking up, watching for the time.

If you are weary now, before straining to summon more strength, examine first what you are leaning on. The secret to running without growing faint is not faster legs but a deeper place to rest your weight.
