2 Corinthians 12:9

But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 (Berean Standard Bible)

Reflection

Paul pleaded three times for his weakness to be removed. The answer that came was not its removal but, "My grace is sufficient for you." Within it lies the paradox that power is perfected in weakness.

Weakness is usually something we want to hide. But this verse sees it as the channel through which grace is revealed. There must be a gap for another hand to enter.

If your lack keeps pressing on your mind today, before straining to fill it, consider what door it might open onto. It can become the place where, instead of proving your strength, you receive grace.
