Today's Word
Lamentations 3:25-26
“The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.”
Reflection
"The LORD is good to those who wait for Him." The object of His goodness is not the one who has achieved something but the one who waits. Waiting itself is recognized as a form of trust.
"It is good to wait quietly" places value on waiting. Better to wait quietly, hoping, than to move in a rush. Written over ruins, the words carry added weight.
On a day the answer is slow and you're frustrated, don't count waiting as wasted time. To wait quietly on Him is itself the place of receiving good. Waiting is not a halt but a posture of trust.
