Today's Word
Philippians 1:3
“I thank my God every time I remember you.”
Reflection
Paul's prayer begins with thanks before petition. "Every time I remember you," he says, he gives thanks. Bringing people to mind becomes a channel of gratitude, not a burden.
Strikingly, the object of thanks is not a task or achievement but people. The very existence of those beside him is the reason for thanks. The faces that seemed ordinary by their constant presence are, in fact, a gift.
Give thanks today for one person who comes to mind — not for what they did, but for their being. Remembering people with gratitude changes the texture of a relationship.
