Today's Word
Psalm 121:1-2
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
Reflection
To lift your eyes to the hills is to look up. It is the act of raising your head rather than binding your gaze to the helplessness underfoot. And then you ask: where does my help come from?
The answer is not the hills themselves but the One who made them. You don't lean on the grandeur of nature, but on the hand that made it. The one who knows exactly where help comes from doesn't wander in the wrong places.
The more weary the day, the more the gaze falls downward. Lift your head once today, remembering that help is not something you manufacture but something that comes down from above.
