Today's Word
Psalm 46:10
““Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted over the earth.””
Reflection
"Be still" is more than a command to stop moving. It is a call to let go of the grip of control and to acknowledge that God is God. Restlessness often springs from the fear that I must hold everything together.
The preceding verses paint mountains shaking and waters roaring. In the middle of that chaos comes the word, "Be still." Stillness is chosen not after the situation quiets, but first, within the noise.
Take a moment to pause today. Not a pause to solve something, but simply to remember that He is God. There are things that only become visible when you stop.
