Prayers
A Prayer of Repentance and Renewal
Repentance is not about tearing yourself down, but about setting down what is heavy and beginning again. When you honestly bring out the faults you've hidden, room for something new opens in the heart.
The promise that confessed sin is forgiven is not condemnation but a passage to restoration. Looking back over the day, honestly name where you went astray, and ask for a clean heart, made new. The prayer and verses below help with the turning of your steps.
Prayer
An Evening Prayer of Reflection
God, I look back over this day.
The careless words, the person I turned away from, my own laziness — I spread the shadows within me before You.
I ask for forgiveness. Tomorrow, let me live just one step more honestly. Amen.
A Prayer to Repent of Pride
God, I recall the moments I thought I lived by my own strength.
I confess how I forgot what I'd been given, and belittled others.
Let me return to where I first began. Amen.
