John 14:2-3

In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.
John 14:2-3 (Berean Standard Bible)

Reflection

"In My Father's house are many rooms." To disciples grieving His departure, Jesus says He goes to prepare a place. What looks like parting is, in fact, the readying of a place.

There is abundance in "many." You needn't worry there'll be no room to enter. The prepared place is enough, and the one preparing it is He who has gone Himself.

In a place where ending and parting feel frightening, recall that it may be not severance but a move into a prepared place. The One who went to ready a place has promised to come again and welcome you.
