Today's Word
Revelation 21:4
“‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.””
Reflection
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes." Not a command to gather up your tears unseen, but a promise that He Himself will wipe them. It doesn't deny the sorrow, yet shows its end.
That there will be no more death or mourning doesn't mean treating today's grief lightly. It is the hope that today's tears are not the last. The one who knows the ending endures today's sorrow differently.
If you are in the middle of loss, you don't have to gather up the grief quickly. Only hold, alongside it, that a hand waits at the end to wipe away every tear.
