Today's Word
Joshua 24:15
“But if it is unpleasing in your sight to serve the LORD, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!””
Reflection
As Joshua called the people to choose, he first declared the direction of his own household. Whatever others may do, "as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." Faith, he showed, is not being swept along by the mood but a decision renewed each day.
To set a direction on behalf of a household carries responsibility. One person's choice shapes the air of a home. And that choice shows itself not in grand events but in the priorities of an ordinary day.
Consider which way your house is facing today. The small habits kept when no one is watching are what, in the end, shape the faith of a home.
